Youthlinks

Youthlinks is a program of Broadreach Family & Community Services located in Rockland Maine that provides after-school programs and summer camps that include community service, leadership and enrichment opportunities to all youth ages 10-18 from anywhere in mid-coast Maine. Teens in the after-school programs and summer camps learn skills, build self-esteem, cultivate social responsibility, develop leadership abilities and connect to their peers, to adult mentors, and to their communities. After-school programs and summer camp are free for participating youth. Youthlinks is funded through a combination of state grants and the generous donations of individuals, businesses, and foundations.

Broadreach Family & Community Services is pleased to announce that in collaboration with RSU #13 at South School Elementary, Oceanside Middle School and Oceanside High School, and a 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant - after school programming will begin October 15th.

Programming is FREE for students and will be provided for 3 hours a day (Monday through Thursday) directly after school with dedicated time for academic support, cooking, gardening, yoga, sports, games, STEM activities, art, and community services. A healthy snack is provided each day and bus transportation home is available for students participating in the whole 3 hours.

The purpose of 21st Century Community Learning Center grants is to provide a safe after school learning environment that can help students meet state and local student standards in reading and math, as well as to offer students fun, interactive, and engaging  enrichment activities to enhance personal growth and development. This federally-funded program gives priority enrollment to students identified, on standardized test scores, as needing extra support in areas of math and english.
